Torn Rotator Cuff In Depth

A symptom is an abnormality that a person recognizes themselves, for example pain or numbness in your shoulder.  Everyone's experience is different; therefore symptoms are subjective and based on an individual basis.  Weakness or targeted pain with strenuous activity is also a sign.  Pain can get worse with time as the tendon degenerates.  Reaching, stretching, pulling, can all strain this and make it worse.  The pain can radiate down your arm into your thumb.  Most tears in the rotator cuff are minimal, can be treated, sometimes this will lead to surgery if they are severe enough.  Rest is a main part in healing and with a torn rotator cuff this needs to be a priority.  Stay Informed!
